2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Chandler Richardson is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Sumter, SC who attends Atlantic Collegiate Academy. Tall, physical build with well-proportioned strength. Good runner, ran a 6.98 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, waits back on grounders, one hand gather on the side of the frame and works through them, long arm actions to a higher release point. Accurate around the bag, recorded throws up to 88 mph with obvious carry. Secondary right-handed pitcher, stretch only delivery, chest high leg lift, lands on line, quality arm speed, medium arm action to a three-quarters slot. Has rhythm to the delivery, ran the fastball up to 83 mph (2323 RPM). Landed horizontally shaped slider in mid-70s (2254 RPM). Right-handed hitter, wide base with high hands and back elbow in the stance, smooth bat path through the zone and impacts the ball out front consistently with strength to both gaps. Power shined in the round. Good student. Named to 2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
