2024 13U/14U Southwest Showcase
Kiki Whitney is a 2029 C/RHP, OF with a 5-6 120 lb. frame from Oro Valley, AZ who attends Canyon Del Oro. Features a smaller/lean build with plenty of room/time to add. Ran a 8.42 60-yd dash. Behind the plate, he sits in a taller side saddle set up. Showed a clean and efficient transfer with avg. quickness. Gains good ground with his lower half towards 2nd. Showed a shorter arm action that got off higher arcing accurate throws with avg. strength for his level. At the plate, he sits in a taller stance and uses a toe tap trigger. Hands load the barrel into a flatter launch and deliver the barrel on a direct path. Some inconsistent timing but showed some inside-out ability. Exhibited avg. bat/hand speed for his level. When on barrel it was LDs through the middle of the field. On the mound, he showed a smaller lower half sit where he pushed off the rubber into a slightly closed landing. Arm worked into a smaller/continuous circle in the back and up to a normal 3/4 slot. Showed solid control off his upper 60s (T68) fastball throughout his bullpen. Mixed in a developing slurvy mid 50s breaker that he leaked to the armside. Also flashed a changeup that he had limited feel for and slowed his arm down a bit on but exhibited some depth on.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
