Easton Ochoa is a 2027 OF/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA who attends James Madison. Features a longer athletic frame. Ran a 7.08 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed relaxed/clean actions. Comes through it well with body control and some reshuffle into this throwing motion. Has a longer AA that got off on-line accurate throws. In the INF, showed raw actions. Fielded it clean but glove got down late and held a higher fielding posture. At the plate, he sits in a relaxed stance with quiet hands and a bat that sits flat to his shoulder. He uses a quick toe tap trigger he syncs with a slight drop in his hands into launch. Hands throw a quick bat with some above avg. bat speed on an uphill path with some inconsistent late timing but with balance staying behind a firm front side. On the mound, he worked exclusively from the stretch. He uses a belt high knee tuck where he works slower and with control down the mound that allows him to repeat. More hand lead out the glove for a longer/loose arm action that releases to a H ¾ slot. Works in-line and lands taller at finish. His fastball worked up to 73 and mixed in an upper 50s breaking ball and flashed a knuckleball.
