2025 PG Sophomore National Showcase (2028 Grads)
Rory Funke is a 2028 LHP/OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Needham, MA who attends Dexter Southfield. Long and athletic build with lots of room to continue to fill in and gets stronger. Works from a short side step delivery with a long and clean high 3/4's arm slot, gets into his legs well and drives down the mound well. Fastball was in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph with nice two-seam run at times. Threw a soft slider with good tightness and some bite as his breaking ball, also showed some feel for a developing change up. 7.21 runner in the sixty. Secondary outfielder on defense, works through the ball with intent, long and loose arm action and showed his arm strength well from a 3/4's slot. Left handed hitter, has a very busy load with a big toe turn and shoulder tilt, hard swing to time up. Excellent student.
