Chase Atkins is a 2028 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Lambertville, MI who attends Bedford High School. Atkins works from a medium physical build with strength present throughout. Starting from the IF, displayed developing footwork and range with a repeatable compact arm action across the diamond ultimately topping out at 71 mph. Currently projects as a 3B. On the mound, commanded the zone effectively with sinking action to the FB up to 79 mph. Released from a 3/4 slot with ability to pull the string on CH and kill spin at 1501 rpm. Offensively, started from a narrow slightly open base with small leg lift trigger utilized. Direct path through zone with good intent behind stroke. Works all parts of field with young carry production, posting an exit velo of 81 mph. Ran a 7.50 sixty yard dash. Good student.
