Lucian Place is a 2026 UT/RHP with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Newtown, CT who attends Newtown. Extra-large frame with well-proportioned strength present throughout. From the infield, gets the glove down on-time and works through the baseball at a deliberate pace. Gets stabby with the backhand at times. Showcased developing lateral range with some present arm speed. Delivered accurate throws while recording arm strength up to 80 mph across the diamond. Right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch with a leg lift up to the belt. Quicker-paced operation. Carried momentum well down the slope. Fastball showed some cut and ultimately peaked at 79 mph. Changeup had some arm-side depth to it. Projects for more velocity with added strength. Left-handed hitter, starts in a slightly open stance with tight hands. Utilizes a hover trigger for timing before working into a flatter bat path. Creates some strength at the point of contact when timed up. Gets rotational at times. Recorded three hits to the middle of the field during live action. Ran a 7.86 sixty-yard dash. Good student.
