Lukas Elam is a 2027 3B/RHP/SS with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Ola. Compact young build with some strength potential. 8.58 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has a good glove to hand exchange, extra steps throwing but makes accurate throws, can continue to work on his lower half quickness and athleticism. Right handed hitter, starts from a straight stance with a high hand load, tends to cast his hands out early and get around the ball, downhill swing plane, mostly pull side ground ball contact. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a side step start, 3/4's arm slot from a medium length arm action. Fastball topped out at 71 mph and was thrown for strikes. Curveball was his best off-speed pitch with some 11/5 depth and good feel for landing it for strikes. Also threw a short horizontal slider and a change up that he killed the spin on well. Good student.
