Alec Coelho is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from East Meadow, NY who attends East Meadow. As a primary LHP, Coelho displayed a quick operation on the mound with a compact arm stroke and 3/4 release point. He started from the middle of the rubber working from the full windup, flashing some life out of the hand up to 78 mph (2130 rpm). The mechanics worked across the zone for the righty, making for a deceptive look in the box. In terms of off speed, he ripped off a few SL with feel for spin up to 2240 rpm. He flashed the ability to hold runners on successfully with a good pickoff move shown. Good ceiling for velocity projection in future. Good student.
