James McFarlane is a 2026 OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Adelaide, SA who attends Prince Alfred College. Tall athletic build with good present strength and plenty of physical projection remaining. Left handed hitter, starts from a narrow upright stance with a hanging leg raise trigger, sinks into his hips well, timing was inconsistent but showed big bat speed and power when his foot got down, creates leverage and carry, numerous BP home runs. 6.75 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, gets some momentum to the ball, deeper arm action with some carry on his throws, nice one hop accuracy on his throws. Good chance to keep improving with repetitions and additional strength. Very good student. Named to the Fall East Coast Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
