Leighton Brown is a 2027 1B/RHP, C with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Dunkirk, IN who attends Jay County. Smaller physical frame. Ran a 7.67 60-yard dash. Versatile defender showed the feel to play multiple infield spots with developing glove actions, range and made accurate throws across the diamond with developing arm strength. Side set up behind the plate as a catcher, developing fundamentals and arm strength behind the plate. Hit from an even base with and up the middle approach at the plate, some moving parts in the swing with feel to consistently get to the barrel for some sharp line drives. Two pitches out of a three-quarter slot on the mound fastball showed subtle arm side run in the upper 60's and the breaking ball showed developing spin traits with slight break. Made competitive pitches on the mound.
