Macgraw VanWormer is a 2029 OF/RHP/MIF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Prescott, AZ. Long and lean athletic build with some present strength and more to come.Recorded 6.68 second sixty-yard dash time. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium base with a high back elbow load and short stride into contact, has quick hands and big present bat speed, ball comes off the barrel loud and hard, mid field to pull side contact, huge projection as a hitter. Primary outfielder with tons of athleticism, agility and sound footwork within his skill set. Fields off his front foot, maintains momentum into release and produced arm strength up to 91 mph during drills. Secondary infielder with bounce in his steps, a clean funnel and tons of lateral range to either side. Showed ability to change slots on occasion, produced arm strength up to 89 mph across the diamond. Right-handed pitcher that worked from the stretch only, slightly coiled leg lift into balance and good lower half movements down the slope. Fastball peaked at 87 mph in this look, while maintaining the 83-86 mph range throughout from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Paired it with two different breaking balls, a shorter cutter up to 83 mph and a tight, later biting slider up to 74 mph. Developing command with explosive arm speed and projection. High level projection with tons of tools and tantalizing upside on both sides of the ball. Good student. Named to play in the Perfect Game 14U Select Festival.
