Jack Byrne is a 2025 RHP/IF with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Scotch Plains, NJ who attends Scotch Plains Fanwood. High-waisted, long, lanky build with tons of physical projection remaining to be added. 7.57-second runner during the sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher, full wind-up with a slightly coiled leg lift. Shorter stride down the slope. Low 3/4 slot, creating tons of life through the zone with his fastball. Worked in all four quadrants of the zone. Developing feel for secondary offerings that will certain project as he continues to gain experience on the mound. Breaking ball varied in shape as he was able to land it in the zone. Change-up showed some depth to it, tunneling from the same slot. Worked in the low-70s with his heater and will certainly tick up as he adds strength. Secondary infielder, moved well laterally as he flashed some range going up-the-middle. Changed slots on the run and remained accurate. Strong glove actions that projects well, needs to get off back side and carry momentum through his throws more. Right-handed hitter, narrow, upright stance with a high-hand set and high-back elbow. Rotational lower half, gets stuck on his back side as he displayed developing feel for the barrel. Occasional line-drive impact to the middle-of-the-field when on time. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
