Tommy Lapour is a 2023 RHP/ with a 6-4 230 lb. frame from Blue Springs, MO who attends Blue Springs South. Big and physical player with obvious strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, long and in line arm action with some plunge in the back. Compact operation overall with an over-the-top slot. Fastball was 89-91 (2102 RPM). Good fade and arm side run on the change-up (2280 RPM) that he tunnels well. Showed a 12-6 curveball that is a good change of pace pitch but lacks some swing and miss. Attacked the bottom of the zone during the bullpen. Showed a quality spit-fingered change-up (1471 RPM) that he kills the spin on well with late drop. Exciting pitcher with a high ceiling. Good student. Cincinnati commit. Named to the 2023 Pre-Draft Showcase Top Prospect List.
