David Hosch is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Peosta, IA who attends Western Dubuque. Lean build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Primary catcher, sets up in a slightly open stance and works uphill out of the crouch. Gains a bit of ground while separating into a shorter arm path. Displayed developing arm speed and lateral agility behind the dish. Arm will continue to improve with additional strength. Kept his throws online while recording arm strength up to 63 mph with a pop-time of 2.43 sec. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wider, slightly open stance with a deep hand set-up. Struggles to get off his back-side and tends to cast his hands at the baseball. Looks to create impact out in front and to the pull-side. Produced line drive impact when timed up during batting practice. Projects for more power with additional strength and mechanical refinement. Posted an exit velocity of 74 mph. Ran a 5.12 forty-yard dash. Great student.
