Luke Dickerson is a 2024 SS/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Denville, NJ who attends Morris Knolls. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout; lots of fast-twitch muscle and easy plus speed, ran a 6.24 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields it out front with two hands and shows comfort going to the backhand, athleticism plays in footwork and actions, arm strength will continue to develop, showed accuracy across the diamond, makes the plays. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; gets into lower half well in swing, shows comfort working to the pull side. Creates strength at the point of contact, connected for a 102 mph double to the opposite field gap in live action, quick stick through the zone. Intriguing tools all around the diamond. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Virginia.
