Owen Marxen is a 2027 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Prairie. Athletic build with very good present strength for his age and some physical projection remaining. 7.31 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has good lower half actions to and through the ball, fields the ball cleanly, good balance puts him in position to make accurate throws. Also worked out in the outfield, has good fundamental actions and works through the ball well, makes accurate throws from a lower arm slot, playable athleticism but profiles best at first base. Left handed hitter, starts from a spread stance with an aggressive shift into contact, turns hard and creates bat speed and stays on plane well, gets extension through contact, balanced and loose swing mechanics, should continue to develop his power as he matures. Good student.
