Colton Floyd is a 2027 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends Sandia. Extra big and strong athletic build, stands out physically. Right handed hitter, starts with a simple knee lift trigger, clean swing mechanics with big bat speed, lift and strength, pulls the ball and gets it in the air, outstanding hitting tools to develop. 7.03 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, throws from a high 3/4's arm slot with good arm strength, easy low effort athletic actions, more arm strength there in the future, right field profile. Took a turn on the mound, has the same calm and low effort on the mound as he showed in the outfield, starts from the far first base side of the rubber, long arm swing to a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 90 mph with nice arm side life. Slider had some spin and sweeping depth. Change up was a nice pitch with arm speed and big diving depth. Has two way potential but highest ceiling is with his bat. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
