Mitchell Deans is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Murphy, TX who attends Plano East. Deans fits under the category of a Swiss army knife, providing value at a range of defensive positions over the course of his event. From a long limbed and still projectable build, the primary RHP displayed a lower funky release on the mound that created deception and uncomfortableness for opposing hitters. He generated natural run and sink on the FB up to 79 mph and flashed a 10-4 slider as his go to off speed offering. Expect the velocity to continue developing as Deans physically matures. From both the MIF and 1B, he showcased some range to the glove side with refining footwork and accurate throws across the diamond up to 76 mph. He also worked from the OF displaying quiet mechanics and a chance to work more aggressively through the baseball. Offensively, the righty started from a wider stance with slight invert to the front knee, producing contact to all parts of the field. Power potential should become more prominent in the future as Deans continues to fill out. Ran a 7.80 sixty yard dash.
