Ryan Modestino is a 2028 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Hingham, MA who attends Suffield Academy. Has some young size and strength potential. Works from an on-line delivery with medium length arm action from a 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well. Fastball was in the mid-70's and topped out at 78 mph, mostly straight and thrown to the glove side. Had good command of a big soft curveball that he landed well and threw at any count. Flashed a firm change up as well. 7.63 runner in the sixty. Secondary outfielder on defense, has a good first step and works to the baseball, tends to cut his momentum to field the ball, multiple steps into his throws, 3/4's arm slot, made accurate soft throws. Right handed hitter, sets up in an upright stance, tends to stride way open and pull off the ball through his swing, mostly opposite field contact. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
