Landen Johnson is a 2028 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Hampton, SC who attends Hampton County High School. Works from a tall, lean frame with plenty of room to mature physically and add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, starts from the first base side of the rubber and works from a full wind-up delivery. Utilizes a big stride into balance, breaks the hands at the midsection and into a compact inline arm path, releases from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball showed some life out of the hand, located it well when he stayed inline down the slope, topped it out at 81 mph. Mixed in two breaking balls, a mid-60s slider with sweeping break as well as a rolling vertical curveball, also flashed a developing changeup. Projects for more velocity with added strength and mechanical refinement. From the outfield, works through the baseball well, utilizes a midline transfer and works into an abbreviated arm path. Releases from a lower slot, delivered accurate throws, recorded arm strength up to 84 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts in a neutral stance with the hands out in front of the body. Created some strength at impact when timed up, recorded an exit velocity of 81 mph. Ran a 7.49 sixty-yard dash. Good student. Named to the 2023 Fall Atlantic Coast Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
