Koa Franzak is a 2027 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from South Barrington, IL who attends Barrington. He has a tall frame for his age with a lean build and plenty of room to fill as he continues to develop physically. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.84 seconds. Primary first baseman that fields the ball deep in the middle of his stance. He funnels it into his chest well before throwing with a short arm action to the bases. He showed good footwork when turning the double play and made accurate throws to both bases. Secondary left-handed pitcher that works exclusively from the stretch. He uses a knee to belt leg kick and works down the mound well, landing in line with the plate. He has a long, circular arm action and fires from a 3/4 slot. His fastball is straight and he worked it to both sides of the plate. His curveball has loose spin and creates nice vertical depth. Also worked out in the outfield, staying back on the ball and working himself into a good fielding position. He throws with a longer arm action and showed nice hand speed on his throws. Left-handed hitter that starts in a narrow stance with high hands and a high back elbow. He uses a hover leg lift trigger for timing and moves into the pitch with his lower half. He has an up-the-middle approach and looks to hit line drives. He showed the ability to impact the ball when he is on time and makes contact out in front of the plate.
