Ricky Gabuat is a 2029 C/MIF/OF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Burien, WA who attends Mount Rainier. Smaller compact build with some present strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in an upright stance with a low hand load and low leg raise trigger, rotational upper body swing with limited lower half shift off his back side, swings hard and can impact the ball when he's on time, some uphill plane in his swing when he gets extended through contact, hit to all fields with best game contact pulling the ball. 7.90 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a squared crouch, tends to stand straight up to throw, can gain more ground into his throws, repeated his exchange and release well and made accurate soft throws. Excellent student.
