Gael Chavez is a 2029 SS/ with a 5-3 115 lb. frame from Carlsbad, NM. Compact, proportional build with lots of time to fill at just 12 years old on the dot. Ran an 8.71 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, developing arm strength, works through the backhand, good routes to it, solid feel for leather, some fundamentals here, will improve with arm strength and length, handled a lot of ground on the left side well for age. Left-handed hitter, athletic operation, simple and relaxed, knee lift trigger, later hand move can lead to some timing issues, aggressive, gets barrel out to it, projects nicely. Solid overall outlook for the age with good fundamental base on both sides of the baseball.
