2025 PG Fall Northern California Showcase
Caleb Degala-Burnett is a 2029 SS/RHP/UT with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Union City, CA who attends James Logan. Smaller young build with lots of time and room to grow and get stronger. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight narrow stance with a low hand load and a short leg raise timer, gets to his front side early with a line drive swing plane and a mid field to opposite field approach, stayed timed up well. 7.88 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense who worked out all over the field. Moved well in the infield and played well on the run, some bounce to his actions, fielded the back hand well, made accurate throws. Arm and athleticism played best in the infield. Also pitched, did a nice job of throw strikes and challenging hitters, fastball was in the mid-70's from a 3/4's arm slot with some cutting action. Curveball had some 11/5 shape. Good student.
