Charlie Rubey is a 2027 C/RHP, 1B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Swartz Creek, MI who attends Lake Fenton. Tall lean build. Behind the plate, its a high square crouch with decent ability to transfer high and directly to the ear. Arm speed is developing with solid accuracy to second. 2.08 pop time. At first base, the glove secures the routine with ability to executed the inside turn soundly. The arm has solid strength with accuracy to both bases. Right-handed hitter, wide base , and high back elbow. The initial move is a big deep load and leg kick. The path is simple with linear aspects. Got it on the barrel frequently through the middle of the field. On the mound, its a clean delivery elements of athleticism in the delivery. Quick arm with three-quarters release point. Fastball plays with real ride and spin for the age. Slider was buried down late in the count for a punchy. Legit makings of a future on the hill. Long legs and lean build, great feel for working the outside half to both sides. Gets behind the fastball and creates solid ride. Changeup has late sink and a little depth, mostly threw to left hander hitters. 8.30 60-yard. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect list.
