Finnegan Knowlton is a 2027 LHP/1B with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Branford, CT who attends Notre Dame. Long, lanky frame with a high waist and plenty of room to add strength. Primary left-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Incorporates segmented leg lift into balance and obtains good stride length out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the low-70s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 72 mph from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Around the zone consistently with all three of his pitches, has some heaviness to his fastball and replicates the arm speed on his changeup effectively. Showed developing breaking ball with gradual action to it and will continue to improve with minor adjustments. Entire arsenal will continue to develop and improve with additional velocity. Plenty of upside remaining. Secondary first baseman with deliberate footwork around the bag. Displayed a clean funnel out in-front and the ability transition quickly into release. Recorded arm strength up to 75 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open stance with a high, tight hand set and hover trigger. Contact oriented stroke with inside-out swing path and developing bat-to-ball skills. Whole field approach with length through the hitting zone, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
