Jaxon Gentry is a 2028 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Pioneer. Long and lean young build with lots of room to get stronger. Works exclusively from the stretch with a hip high leg raise and a medium length arm action to a high 3/4's arm slot, works downhill down the mound well. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with some running life that got in on right handed hitters, threw consistent strikes with his fastball and worked ahead in counts, has topped out at 84 mph before at PG events. Threw a soft curveball as his breaking ball, also landed it well, can tighten up the spin and can create more power on the pitch. Right handed hitter, has a toe tap trigger from a barrel wrap start, some uphill plane to his swing, has some young bat speed with pull side contact, occasional hard top spin line drive contact. Secondary corner infielder on defense with first base skills and tools. Excellent student.
