Jess Withers is a 2026 RHP/3B with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Aurora, TX who attends Boyd. Physical build with good present strength especially in his lower half. Has a fast paced delivery with good coil in his leg raise, full arm swing in back to a high 3/4's arm slot, lands in line well with good balance on release. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with some riding life through the zone, can get late with his arm at times and miss up arm side. Slider was a nice pitch with tight spin, good power and nice biting action, got some weak swings and chases with the slider. 7.46 runner in the sixty. Plays third base when not on the mound, showed good arm strength across the diamond, glove can be late getting down at times but has some adjustability at the ball, changed his arm slot well on the move. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a knee lift trigger and good balance throughout, has some bat speed and strength at contact and hits to all fields. Solid all around player. Good student.
