De’Sean Williams is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Hampton, GA who attends Georgia Premier Academy. Slender, athletic looking frame with lean muscle and quick twitch athleticism. Plenty of room to add strength moving forward. Recorded a 7.12 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with fundamentally sound footwork and instincts throughout the fielding process. Incorporates fluid, athletic actions to field out in-front and gathers cleanly, while maintaining momentum into release. Produced accurate throws up to 82 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a simple, repeatable operation with quick pace, good lower half movements and consistent release point. Creates good rhythm and tempo to his delivery, accelerates his arm quickly and generates a ton of arm-side life to his fastball. Fastball worked in the 79-81 mph range for the majority of his outing and topped at 82 mph in this look. Mixed in tight, late biting slider as primary secondary offerings, tunneling it well from the same arm slot and generated tons of swings-and-misses due to its continual horizontal movement. Generates easy arm speed and could potentially jump significantly in velocity with additional physical gains. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even base with a tight, high hand set and simple leg lift trigger. Displayed loads of quickness to his hands, loud impact when on-time and some power potential to the pull-side gap. Will need to develop some more barrel control in-order to expand overall hit tool but hand speed and upside are certainly enticing. Fundamentally sound two-way prospect with tons of physical upside and loads of athleticism. Good Student.
