Jesse Maddox is a 2029 OF/LHP with a 5-11 172 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Granite Hills. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, attacks the ball well on approach, fields it cleanly out front and works into separation well, repeats actions with a shorter arm action from a three-quarters release, consistent accuracy with carry out of the hand. Also pitched, works exclusively out of the stretch, deliberate tempo to operation, repeats well with a long arm action through the back, three-quarters release. Worked up in the zone and pitched to contact, fastball topped out at 82 mph and showed ability to command it. Spun it well and able to locate secondary pitches down in the zone, showed both a slider and changeup. Left-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high back elbow, loads the hand well and on time, utilizes a leg lift hover for timing. Handsy stroke, low effort operation in the box with rhythm. Gets the barrel through and shows comfort working to the pull side with makings of solid strength. 91 mph exit velocity in testing. Excellent student. Named to the 2025 13u Select Festival.
