Daniel Jones is a 2027 3B/1B with a 5-6 160 lb. frame from Forsyth, GA who attends Pike County. Young, square shouldered frame with some present strength and additional room to develop moving forward. Ran an 78.72 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, shorter steps moving toward the ball and works behind it well, out front with glove and works into a clean funnel, picks the backhand well, shorter arm action on throws across the diamond and will continue to develop arm strength/carry moving forward. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance in the box and utilizes a hanging knee lift trigger for timing, remains balanced throughout. Shows a feel for the barrel in swing and incorporates lower half well. Stays direct to the ball with hands from launch with some ability to impact when extended out front, does a nice job of staying through the ball at point of contact. Good student.
