2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (26-27 Grads)
Auron Avery is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends Mesquite. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Left handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a high hand set, loads into his back hip well, big leg raise timer, pretty timing intensive pre-swing routine, swings hard and has good present bat speed, showed power to all fields, has refinements to make but has the tools to project. 7.33 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, moves well into the ball with athletic actions, big crow hop into his throws, longer release with an uphill plane on his throws, makes accurate soft throws. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a short side step start and turn and a 3/4's arm slot, could get over his front side more consistently. Fastball was in the low 70's and topped out at 76 mph with some running life. Threw mostly fastballs and flashed a short breaking ball.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
