James Yanz is a 2025 3B/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Matthews, NC who attends Weddington High School. Larger athletic build with good present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a comfortable hand set, quiet stance with a short stride into contact, has quick hands and creates bat speed, solid lower half action, has some lift in his swing and ball comes off the barrel hard, has the strength and approach to continue to develop as a hitter. 6.89 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, tends to wait back on the ball, better mobility moving side to side, gets the glove down early and fields cleanly, makes accurate throws with playable arm strength. Also worked out in the outfield. Bat is his tool. Excellent student.
