JJ Lott is a 2029 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Liberty. Recorded a 7.57 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher with a medium frame. Begins delivery with a leg lift to waist level and lands on line at foot strike. Quick arm action through the back and releases from a mid-3/4 slot. Fastball topped out at 83 mph and held the velocity throughout the outing. Slider is already a weapon and swing-and-miss offering, drawing plenty of whiffs with late bite. Mixed in hesitations and different speeds to keep batters off balance. Secondary first baseman and was athletic around the bag with active footwork. Showed clan glovework and showed intent. Also worked out in the outfield and stayed under control with actions. Long arm action and releases from an extended 3/4 slot with good arm strength. Left-handed hitter and starts from a medium base. Uses a small inward leg lift to get the swing going and employed a middle of the field approach. Stayed on the barrel throughout the round and produced line drives. Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
