Dylan Palantino is a 2025 C/1B with a 5-9 178 lb. frame from Philadelphia, PA who attends St. Joseph's Prep. Medium, compact frame with strong lower half and room to physically mature. Recorded a 5.41 second forty-yard dash time. Primary catcher that received from a wider, slightly side-saddled stance with softness to his hands and a shirt, direct mid-line transfer. Gains ground out of the crouch efficiently and works into a short arm action. Produced developing arm strength up to 72 mph from behind the plate during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, narrow base with a high hand set, high back elbow and hover trigger for timing. Whole field approach with slightly elongated swing path and developing feel for the barrel. Creates some separation into launch and produced occasional line drive impact through the middle of the field. Fairly simple stroke that will continue to improve with some minor refinements mechanically and additional strength. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
