James Coulter Feehery is a 2028 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-9 132 lb. frame from Alexandria, VA who attends St. Johns College. Slender young build. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight bent knee stance, rock back load with a big stride into contact, swings hard and will occasionally pull off early, some uphill plane and put the ball in the air consistently, showed an accurate barrel in the games. 8.08 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, moves well to the ball and has some comfort playing on the move, throws from a lower slot that best fits at second base, developing arm strength. Also worked out in the outfield. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with good hip turn over the rubber and some lower half use down the mound. Fastball topped out 70 mph, throws mostly to the glove side and got some cutting action at times. Added and subtracted effectively on his breaking ball and mixed his pitches well. Should continue to improve in all areas as he gets stronger.
