2025 PG Florida High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Daniel Rottino is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Fleming Island, FL who attends Fleming Island. Medium athletic build with some present strength. Left handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a late hand hitch load, uphill swing plane, can get better at turn his front side in the barrel, put the ball in the air to mid field and the opposite field. 7.54 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has energy to the ball and active feet, longer stride into his throwing, throws from a low arm slot with developing consistency and accuracy, can be coached up in his release point and footwork. Also pitched, throws from a side step/high leg raise delivery with a long off-line arm action in back to a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was in the mid-70's and topped out at 78 mph with good heavy sinking action down in the zone. Change up was a nice pitch with late tumble and occasional cut. Still developing feel for spinning the ball. Excellent student.
