LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (28-29 Grads)
Mason Matis is a 2029 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Flemington, NJ who attends Hunterdon Central. Medium young build with some thickness and strength potential. Works from a full low glove wind up with a belt high leg raise and 3/4's arm slot, stays on line well down the mound, deliberate pace into release. Fastball worked mostly in the mid-70's and topped out at 79 mph, threw his fastball to spots and was able to get his fastball inside to hitters. Threw his curveball from a slightly higher slot to get on top of hit but created some spin and shape. Has an idea how to pitch and competed well. 8.05 runner in the sixty. Secondary first baseman on defense, showed good glove work, will sweep his glove at times, short and compact arm action with accurate throws. Left handed hitter, sets up slightly open with a low hand load and an inward leg hover timer, tends to stay on his back side, has some strength in his hands but needs to unlock his lower half to get to it.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
