2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (28-29 Grads)
EJ Lord is a 2028 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Notre Dame Prep. Slender young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Primary outfielder who graded out higher as a right handed pitcher at this event. Works from the stretch from the middle of the rubber with a belt high leg raise and a loose and fast arm action, some energy at release but repeats pretty well. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with nice running life. Also threw a soft slurvy breaking ball with some spin but lacking ideal power. Left handed hitter, sets up in a spread straight stance with a hanging front leg timer, upper body swing, tends to cast his hands out to start his swing, mostly middle of the field contact with some feel for controlling the barrel. 7.82 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, moves through the ball well, deep arm action with some young carry to his throws, high effort release. Also worked out in the infield as a third baseman. Good student
