Colton Longoria is a 2028 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Grove City, OH who attends Grove City. Recorded a 7.61 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with a lean build. Primary shortstop with active feet and a stiffer glove on the backhand. Clean exchanges and accurate throws across with some carry. Worked through the slow quickly and moved well on the dirt. Secondary outfielder with active feet and a passive approach side-stepping into fielding off the back foot with a short arm action and an over-the-top angle. One-to-two hop throws with accurate throws. Some athleticism in the frame. Right-handed hitter starts from a spread stance with even feet and a low back elbow with a low handset, utilizes a toe tap trigger. Slightly uphill bat plane and stays in the legs well and gets on time and the barrel out front. Some lift and sprayed line drives to the pull-side and the middle-of-the-field with some feel for the barrel. Contact over power at present with some more power in the frame as it matures and adds strength. Intriguing player with good upside.
