2024 West Academic Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Jackson Casey is a 2027 RHP/3B with a Projectable 6-3 175 lb. frame from Newport Beach, CA who attends Mater Dei HS. Started off the event clocking a 7.61 60-yard dash. A primary pitcher that has real 2-way potential. On the mound Casey shows fundamentally sound mechanics and a repeatable delivery that will lend itself to velocity in the future. Ran the fastball to 86 with spins to 2150 and spun an advanced slider with spins to 2481. A strike thrower with the ability to land his secondaries. At the plate Casey demonstrated the ability to square up the baseball on a consistent basis and impact the ball with authority. Defensively he worked through the baseball with confidence and delivered firm strikes to the bases one hopping the mitt with consistency. Good looking young prospect. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
