Benjamin Peters is a 2027 RHP/1B, 3B, MIF, OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Eldridge, IA who attends North Scott. Recorded a 5.15 second 40-yard dash time. Medium frame with a good base to build from moving forward. Primary right-handed pitcher, comes from a high three-quarters slot with a medium length arm action and developing arm speed/strength. Utilizes a side step delivery with a knee and belt leg lift, lands online with the plate and the hips tend to open early. Pushes the ball out of the hand at times, repeats the delivery well enough but will need to develop a more consistent release point to improve command/control. Will continue to improve with added repetitions and strength/size gains. Secondary infielder with an aggressive approach, keeps his feet moving throughout the process and works hard to get into good fielding positions. Shows good intent to the actions for his age, body control will continue to improve with time. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and slightly open stance, utilizes a small leg lift trigger. Long and rotational swing at present, shows a pull side approach and looks to lift the ball. Front shoulder will fly open at times, has good building blocks to the swing and will continue improve as he cleans up some mechanical fixes. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
