2025 PG 14U Main Event Showcase Presented by GEICO
Bowen Lopez is a 2030 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-0 135 lb. frame from Cedar Hills, UT who attends American Fork. A long-limbed, taller frame and build, with room to keep filling out moving forward. Ran an 8.16 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, who works out at the position with some feel for the approach. Works from a lower slot and loose arm action, with some accuracy, getting throws out at 71 mph. He had some whip to the arm and was able to show some feel for the actions in the outfield. Also worked out at first base, with a feel to get the glove down and work through the funnel. Feel around the bag with an understanding for the footwork on double-play turns and feeds. Threw 72 mph across the diamond from first base. Took BP as a left-handed hitter, with an even base, bent knee stance, tight hands, and the back elbow up. He had a linear path through the zone with a rotational lower half, and some feel to throw the barrel head. Showed intent to the swings, with feel to work pull-side shown during his round of BP swings. Took to the mound as a left-handed pitcher, working from the middle of the rubber, with a knee-to-chest leg kick. Pitched from the stretch in his outing, and worked in-line with the plate, working downhill. He had a longer arm action, with a lower slot at release. Fastball worked 70-73 mph with some arm-side run to it, creating a tough angle from the slot he pitched from. He showed a lateral breaking ball with a frisbee shape. He also showed a changeup in the mix, giving him three options to attack opposing hitters with. Excellent student. Named to the 2025 14u PG Main Event Showcase TP List.
