2024 Florida Uncommitted Prospect Showcase
Caden Schlotterbeck is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Calvary Christian. Long and lean athletic build with lots of strength potential. Has an uptempo delivery on the mound with a short leg raise and a direct path down the mound, medium length arm action with a low 3/4's release slot. Fastball was in the low 80's and topped out at 83 mph, creates lots of angle to the pitch with arm side running life and some carry through the zone when up, located his fastball to both sides of the plate. Change up was a good pitch with arm speed and fading life, sold the change effectively. Got nice spin on a big soft curveball as his third pitch. 7.46 runner in the sixty. Played the outfield when not on the mound and showed his arm strength well there with clean athletic actions. Left handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with quick hands and some present bat speed, pulls and lifts the ball with good jump off the barrel. Has some two-way potential. Good bet to keep improving in all areas as he gets stronger and more physically mature. Excellent student. Named to the Florida Uncommitted Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
