Hayden Rausch is a 2024 RHP/SS, OF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Cedar Falls, IA who attends Denver High School. A taller frame and lean build with longer levers in the lower half. Ran a 7.90 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher who worked from the wind-up. He uses a side-step into a leg lift up above the belt with a shorter arm action through release. He threw from a three-quarters arm slot, and the fastball worked up to 78 mph with some arm-side run when located on the inner-third to right-handers. Got some arm-side sink when locating in the lower quadrants. The curveball had a 12-6 shape to it with good depth, and he was able to get some whiffs with the pitch. Flashed a changeup with some depth to it working arm-side. Mixed all three pitches well during his outing. Threw 3.0 innings of scoreless ball with just 1 hit allowed and 4 punchouts to his credit. He's a right-handed hitter with a wider base and the front foot extended out front as he sets up. The hands are set really high in his stance, and he loads up over his backside, gathering and then drifting forward into contact. He worked uphill through the swing. Added a base hit in-game. Also worked out as an outfielder, fielding the ball one-handed and extending out front. Threw from a lower three-quarters release. Quick hands with some speed through release, throwing 76 mph from the outfield. He was worked out as an infielder with good movements and clean footwork. Had quicker and snatchy hands as he fielded the ball, throwing 74 mph across the diamond. Good student.
