Chase Thompson is a 2028 RHP/3B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Briarcliff Manor, NY who attends Briarcliff. Bigger build with some present strength. Works from a hybrid wind up on the mound, lands open out front with early front side mechanics, 3/4's arm stroke, repeats his mechanics well and works quickly. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with occasional running life, threw his fastball for strikes. Mid-60's curveball had some two plane depth, killed the spin effectively on his change up, kept hi s arm speed on both his secondary pitches well. Right handed hitter, sets up in a slightly open spread stance, has good hand speed and strength at contact, gets positive rotation into contact, ball comes off the barrel well. Third base tools and actions on defense. Excellent student.
