Samuel Cave is a 2026 RHP/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from New Rochelle, NY who attends New Rochelle. Works from a long proportioned frame with present strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, full wind-up delivery, sinks into the lower-half well, releases from a three-quarters slot, the fastball lived around the plate and showed short arm side run. Flashed a bigger breaking ball with varying shape, projects for more velocity with mechanical refinement. Secondary outfielder, worked through the ball well, shorter arm stroke, delivered accurate throws, recorded arm strength up to 75 mph from the outfield. In the infield, attacked the ball with urgency, has some lateral range, delivered accurate throws, recorded arm strength up to 71 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter, starts in a wider base with tight hands and a high back elbow, toe tap trigger, drifts forward slightly prior to the point of contact, present strength in the hands, showed glimpses of power when timed-up, recorded an exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 7.65 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.
