Evan Swope is a 2028 SS/RHP/C with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Wesley Chapel, FL who attends Tampa Jesuit. Medium athletic build with some young strength and more to come. 7.43 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, moves to the ball well, long transitions and arm action, has some arm strength with more to come, whippy arm action. Also caught and showed some potential there, has the athleticism and young arm strength with more repetitions and fundamental work. Right handed hitter, starts from a spread and straight stance with a knee lift trigger, line drive swing with a mid field to opposite field approach, short swing, can separate more to drive the ball as he gets stronger. Took at turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a high leg raise start, repeats his mechanics well. Worked exclusively with a low 80's fastball with some cutting action that got off barrels and filled up the zone with strikes.
