George Ayala is a 2026 SS with a 5-9 157 lb. frame from Conyers, GA. Smaller frame, plenty of time to project out physically. Ran a 7.66 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, solid actions around the dirt and moves with good intent, really good hands and funnels through it well, arm strength up to 76 across and has a chance to be an impactful defender on the dirt as the athleticism and arm strength ticks up. Right-handed hitter, narrow base and lets the hands work, slightly late trigger and the barrel can come out late at times but does a good job shifting weight and working to the middle of the field when on time, flashes of bat speed and things to build on, will generate more leveraged with additional strength. Good student.
