Philipp LaGrossa is a 2029 2B/RHP, SS with a 4-11 90 lb. frame from Toms River, NJ who attends Toms River East. Young, lean build with narrow shoulders and room to continue to fill and develop moving forward. Ran a 9.15 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, fields the ball out front with two hands, stays short with actions and shows comfort going to the backhand, makes the plays, arm strength will keep developing, shows accuracy across the diamond and makes the plays. Also pitched, full windup with a side step moving into delivery, balanced belt high leg lift at top of delivery; worked around the zone with fastball and topped out at 63 mph, repeats delivery well and flashed a curveball with developing spin up to 48 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Contact oriented approach, best when working on a linear plane through the zone, worked to the middle of the field, will continue to make strides with added strength.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
